Referrals and Fees


Individuals

Miro Psychology accepts individuals aged 15 years and over.

You can self-refer to Miro Psychology or you may be eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan from your doctor. This referral pathway allows for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Miro Psychology also accepts referrals from Victims Assist and the NDIS (self-managed participants only).

Couples

Couples are able to self refer.

There are no Medicare rebates available for couples therapy. Please consult your private health care provider regarding any coverage you may be able to access for couples therapy.

Our fees


Individuals

Initial Session (50 mins) $260

Follow Up Sessions (50 mins) $235

Rebates
Individuals eligible for Medicare rebated sessions pay $166.65 out of pocket for an initial session and $141.65 for all follow up sessions. 

Deposit
Please be aware we secure a deposit of $150 for all initial appointments which will be deducted from your session fee on the day you attend.

Couples

Couples Therapy (80 mins) $350

Cancellation Policy

We understand things pop up from time to time. Please do endeavour however to provide us with as much notice as possible if you cannot attend your session. This allows us to offer your session time to other clients who may be on our waitlist. We offer telehealth services in the event you are unwell but are able to attend your session via video link.

With less than 48 hours notice: a 50% cancellation fee of your session cost will apply.

With less than 24 hours notice: the full session fee will be incurred. 

Please ensure you email or text message your cancellation if contacting the practice after business hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm). Please ensure you receive confirmation from us if notifying us of your cancellation by text or email. Any outstanding cancellation fees on your account must be paid prior to any subsequent appointments.
